I love the 4th of July! Friends, junky food, good weather, and swimsuits! This far North it also often marks the beginning of really warm weather. I started a new workout routine 6 weeks ago and I am feeling better and better about the inevitable shedding of layers of clothing as the temperature shoots up.
Summer, for me, is a time to go simple with my clothes, makeup, and hair. I like to throw on a little sunscreen, shorts, a tank and hit the town. I think there are others who like the simplicity of summer too, as evidenced by the uptick in permanent cosmetics that I have been doing this past few weeks. It is so nice to pop out of the water with the confidence that you still have makeup in place, and to head out for a summer bbq and feel made-up without much effort.
I have done my best to get as many appointments in as I can in the next week, as I am leaving the week after the 4th to visit family, and I don’t want to leave any of you hanging! Not to mention, I want to make sure that you are ready for all of your 4th of July activities.
Another of my favorite summer events came and went; the City of Moscow ArtWalk! It is one of the best community events on the Palouse! We featured the work of Nick Beymer at the salon this year. Nick is a super talented local photographer. He had new work from his trip to New York on display at the Salon. It was so fun to see so many of you, and meet new people as well. If you didn’t get the chance to swing in during ArtWalk, be sure to come by soon and see Nick’s stuff. I will have it up for the next few weeks.
I will be back from the family visit on the 15th. That week will book up quick, so if you’ll need an appointment that week let me know soon and we’ll get you on the books.
